Merry Christmas, from me to you lovelies. Am really very sorry I have been away for a very long time. I have been so very busy. As busy as I was, I kept thinking about all those reading here, and so I had to come let you know that, I know it’s the festive season and I have a few words for you.
Do you still Remember the three wise men who traveled from the to see baby Jesus?
I remember when that story first came alive to me, it was in primary two. Mrs. Odelia had written the carol out for us to sing and decided to give us a brief background of the song we were to perform for our parents during the carol and end of year party the next week.
She told us of some wise men (Maggi) who had come bearing gifts. I don’t now how many people actually really remember this song or should I say, Carol? We three kings, (Video Below).
Let us look at the lyrics for a bit, just the first stanza.
We three kings of Orient are
Bearing gifts we traverse afar
Field and fountain, moor and mountain
Following yonder star
These three men went through all the troubles of traveling afar and following a star just to bring gifts. You and I don’t need to go the extra mile to give gifts. Needy people are all around us.
Look around you, make someone smile, help the needy, less privileged, sick, hospitalized, orphaned, fatherless, poor etc
Go out of your way to change a story.
Share and be Merry, that’s why we are here.
I know you have plans of our own; it won’t hurt to make a little detour.
Merry Christmas, celebrate wisely.
